Through the years after Paelias was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Paelias's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Jeweler.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Elves in Quarion's homeland. Quarion decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. Recently a tribe of giants attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Quarion fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
