Personality: He has a very dry and sarcastic sense of humor. He is not one for noise or eating so much, which is in direct contrast with his big mouthed big gutted partner. His partner is his best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. He is obsessed with his god.

History: Varis hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. Varis was orphaned to a temple shortly after his birth. He was raised by the temple staff to care always for others above himself and to hold his god always in his heart. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

He is the most sanctimonious self-righteous Elf in existence. He refers to his adoptive father for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.
