History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when orcs swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his mother. His mother worked until he suffered an accident while they were digging through a hill for a new route. He had to support his now crippled mother and took his mother's old job. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother; and expand his business

Personality: He shows great sympathy to all travelers. He's the type to buy drinks and listen to their stories. He is a logical person and will generally grow upset if things defy logic and science.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Erdan grew up listening to his father's many stories. A few years later when the east was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and he possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal

Personality: Friendly and accommodating he would invite many more into his home than his spouse would be comfortable with if they did not express concern about it. When he's not drinking or sleeping the drinks off, he's doing singing.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Elves in the south were limited. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: Wishes to resurrect an old love.
