Personality: He is very quiet and rarely speaks above a whisper. He is obsessed with a lost civilization.

History: He comes from a rich southern family. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Varis grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Varis. He has dedicated himself to building a better world.
