History: A powerful wizard made him what he is. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by dire rats. Thervan was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the dire rats.

Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions

Personality: Naal speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. He is clearly well-traveled and educated. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. Being a Guard kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.
