History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. Through the years after Varis was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Varis's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Mayor. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.
