History: The child of southern immigrants he idolized his mother. In his 12th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: He is calm most of the time but flees social interaction. He claims to be unscrupulous but at the end of the day he will do what he thinks is right.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Bellfounder hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by giants. Ahvain was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the giants.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and revenge

History: A powerful necromancer made him what he is. His martial abilities were realized during a raid on his village. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: To reunite with his old friends; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark
