History: Berrian hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. He took after his mother in leading caravans. Because they were valued, his mother taught him to defend himself. When his mother died while fighting gnolls, the young Berrian began to lead the lost caravan. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Motivation: Many gnolls want him driven away; and a deep hatred of gnolls

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Seamstress hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. Some 2 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Laucian never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his son whom he trained as his father had trained him before.
