Personality: While he is on the job, he is grim and serious. He understands how dangerous the world is and the need to stay safe. He is lazy and tries to find solutions quickly.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. Arannis was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Arannis decided he wanted neither the life of his mother nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. Recently a tribe of gnolls attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Arannis fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Personality: He likes to make people angry or surprised. As he has aged he has sought to do reparations for his actions as a youth. He is also making sure that his compatriots who never received punishment for their crimes are brought to justice.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The mother sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his mother's willingness to do anything to win. Being a Bather kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.
