Personality: He hates drow. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. More though he will beg to come along on any journeys. He will attempt to stowaway on any ship he can in the hopes that it will get him further away.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. At some point he was captured by drow and was tortured. After several years of this he finally managed to escape. Being a Architect kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

Motivation: To reunite with his old friends; and he desires power and/or immortality

He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: He's looking for his big break; and he doesn't get along with people that don't share his tastes

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: Nim hails from a village terrorized by brigands. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He now mingles about in high society.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and he uses money and sex appeal to get what he needs
