Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. His temper goes off on the smallest of things. He tends to lash out at those around him.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. History: Aelar lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

History: When he was but 3 years old his parents immigrated from the west. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He left for the west, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions
