History: The child of eastern immigrants he idolized his mother. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Mindartis grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Mindartis. Being a Actor kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

Personality: Arannis hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his poetry career. He is often prim and proper but will on occasion tell either really disgusting or offensive jokes, which seem out of character.

History: The child of southern immigrants he idolized his mother. Cursed with a spirit at a very young age, Theriatis has worked very hard to control his curse. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Butcher responsibilities is difficult; and he is unsatisfied with his job

Personality: He is fixated on the number 61. He counts his steps and bites of food to keep in track with it. He seems to be used to being ignored and not questioned about it. Nutae enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions.
