History: Gifted from a young age, Caeldrim studied abroad. His parents were killed by illithids in a raid when he was still a young child. The illithids captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: Rael hails from a village terrorized by giants. A few years later when the west was not economically sound they moved to his current location. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by giants. Rael was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the giants.
