He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. After a long history of fighting, Mindartis and his spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: He is not truly malevolent, but he is obsessed with writing. He constantly tries to fill his life with writing. On top of that he is swayed by a pretty face, and while loyalty to his employer will always come first he doesn't like to hit women.

History: He got into the Ploughman business at a young age. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Elven companion (his 'brother'). He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Ploughman.

Motivation: He'd like to take his coworkers down a peg.

History: He was born in the south, but his parents moved at a very young age to the north. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: An old rival family wants him found; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister
