History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

His mother taught him the rudiments of the Shepherd arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He has since married many spouses, only to have them die. He claims to not be responsible.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Rael was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Cursed with unlife at a very young age, Rael has worked very hard to control his curse. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.
