Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

History: Aust lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a daughter. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Personality: Aside from being a little slow due to sleep deprivation he is generally quite perceptive. He notices little details and can draw good conclusions from them. He has no love for corruption and racketeering and views those as crimes of the highest magnitude.

History: Mindartis lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His father disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his father, he was betrayed dozens of times. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. Through the years after Heian was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Heian's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.
