History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. Brilliant and gifted he never wanted to apply himself. He was granted arcane powers by his dying brother.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother; and an old rival family wants him found

Personality: Always inclined to offer people food he seems plenty friendly. Varis is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his sisters into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.
