He found a children's book about a Elf Sorcerer who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He came across an abandoned tomb where he found a relic that called out to him. After picking it up he was cursed by vampirism.

Description: With blue face paint in a stripe pattern across his face, he wears long strands of sapphire and short tan dresses (or suits) accompanied by the proper stockings and shoes, with gloves of varying lengths. He has shaved his head bald. His amber eyes are desperate and heavily dilated. He has the appearance of someone under the heavy influence of drugs.

Personality: Varis is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. He has a hair trigger and will fly into rage over the tiniest perceived slights.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. When Varis reached his early adolescence his Elf father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

He will often invite strangers home for dinner and talk their ears off. He cares deeply for his spouse and does his best to make sure his guests look presentable.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a daughter. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

Motivation: Wants to have a good time and be beloved.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. Ostracized due to the arcane powers of his oldest brother, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Elves became a terror of the countryside. He has recently attracted an admirer that believes he's playing hard to get.

Motivation: Marry his brother to traveling adventurers; and he feels threatened by others

History: He comes from a rich northern family. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Arannis fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever; and he has money and likes to spend it
