History: He was born in the west. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He became a Carter soon after.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Carter and was forced into it by his family; and marry his sister to traveling adventurers

History: He was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Laucian grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Laucian. As of late he has set up a hidden staging nest where he ambushes people he hires for escort.

Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. The occasional robbery is his preferred attention getting crime, but he mainly uses his means for meeting his own perverse desires.

History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. He moved out north to avoid the crime he committed. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

Motivation: To be a Shepherd again; and wants to open a new tavern
