History: The child of a Priest, who enjoyed hunting, Theren was taken on many hunting expeditions. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Theren fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: Efferil hails from a village terrorized by drow. Because his mother participated in the massacre of their homeland, drow burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the east, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his father from journeying east to reunite his family. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: He wants revenge against drow; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by drow, and he desires to right it
