History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Varis grew up listening to his mother's many stories. His mother disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his mother, he was betrayed dozens of times. He bought a pickaxe and has really upped his game hunting, due to his understanding of decoy and ambush.

Motivation: Obtaining odd cultural Elven artifacts is his passion; and he wants to meet his childhood hero

He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.
