History: The child of a Carter, who enjoyed hunting, Adran was taken on many hunting expeditions. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions; and wishes to resurrect an old love
