To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Soveliss. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Aramil hails from a village terrorized by goblins. He was taken as a slave by a traveling circus and forced to perform He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. While he appears to be a normal Elf, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.
