History: Varis hails from a village terrorized by orcs. His parents were killed by orcs in a raid when he was still a young child. The orcs captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge.

History: Born in the east to a Crown-heir, Mindartis learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young.
