History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: He's looking for his big break.

Through the years after Koeth was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Koeth's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. Recently a tribe of illithids attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Koeth fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: His martial talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. His parents enrolled him in a Sorcerer school at a young age so that he could practice his martial talents. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions.
