History: Born in the north to a Bookbinder, Ahvain learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. Like his mother and his sister before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Bookbinder. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Personality: He is almost excessively polite to everyone, even when angry. He is kind towards other men and children and will generally offer men help without question. Others will generally need to prove themselves to him.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his father and mother. His father taught him the rudiments of the Shoemaker arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Quarion grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Quarion. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
