Personality: Deceptive and manipulative this southern guy figured out how to best use his charms to convince people to do what he wants. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Carrie is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: Carrie was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Sorcerer, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Sorcerer in service of a powerful lord somewhere. Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He has zero loyalty and will suck up to whomever is within range, in the hopes of being moved to a better position.

History: When he was but 3 years old his parents immigrated from the north. In his 12th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He has achieved small success as a Miner.

Personality: Varis is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. He enjoys reading and quiet.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He now mingles about in high society.

Motivation: He loathes his own lifestyle.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He became a Apothecary soon after.
