History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. He dropped out of school to support his sick mother, and resented it. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Dilettante they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Bellfounder, and he later adopted a second daughter.

Paelias grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Paelias. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Shepherd for hire.
