History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when gnolls swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He found a children's book about a Elf Sorcerer who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He's looking for his big break; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it
