History: He was born in the south. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He has been helping groups of widows and orphans who have fled abusive spouses or lost their families to illithids.

Motivation: He feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world; and balancing his hectic life and new interpreter responsibilities is difficult
