Berrian grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Berrian. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: He was raised by priests from a young age. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs

History: His druidic talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. Through the years after Paelias was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Paelias's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was granted druidic powers by his dying brother.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. A freak accident while working with his Doctor father left him crippled. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Dilettante for the past few years.

History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. He has had some formal music training, and achieved minor success. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
