History: He was born into a rich family. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. He now mingles about in high society.

Description: This northern man's face is deformed and paralyzed on one side. As such, he slurs his words together. He is well dressed, constantly wearing a tan suit, grey shirt, and white tie. His silver hair is well kept and his bushy mustache is tapered upwards at the ends. His amber eyes have a joyful gleam in them most of the time.

Personality: He runs his personal life as if detached from it. He organizes appointments and outings based on perceived benefits he will get from it. He claims to be unscrupulous but at the end of the day he will do what he thinks is right.

History: Varis was born in the north. At a young age he loved to build and create. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Barkeep hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.
