History: He was born in the south. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. Being a Mayor kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

Personality: Eccentric and domineering, Varis will drive conversation. The war was a terrible time for him, and Varis does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Varis was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: He loathes his own lifestyle; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army

He has the appearance of someone under the heavy influence of drugs.

Personality: He is a man who does what he needs to. He will acquiesce to black mail and extortion to avoid trouble. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of gnolls once and for all.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. Before the accident, he was one of the most outspoken anti-Elven activists. He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Elven doctor. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Motivation: He wants revenge against gnolls; and he possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. In his formative years he discovered how persuasive he was. He began using that to his advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

History: His mother raised him in a mountain cabin. His childhood dream was to be a Barkeep, but he was a colossal failure. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Cook for hire.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Cook responsibilities is difficult; and he is unsatisfied with his job
