History: He was raised in a island tribe. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Ahvain grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Ahvain. He would ruin relationships and cause injury. He was reprimanded several times before being given his current form and forced to learn humility.

His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the desert due to the painful memories there. Beiro took refuge in the old dungeon and found the beat up sai and armor he uses now. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.
