History: He was born in the west. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Herbalist hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Varis fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Peren's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He is often prim and proper but will on occasion tell either really disgusting or offensive jokes, which seem out of character.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Peren was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members.
