Personality: While he is on the job, he is grim and serious. He understands how dangerous the world is and the need to stay safe. He is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes him no end of embarrassment.

History: Quarion hails from a village terrorized by brigands. A serious injury left his father unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm father. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture; and to pay off his debts

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Merchant work with an outfit from a few towns over. Merchant work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He now owns his own business.

Motivation: He seems to be bored by most things; and he is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes orcs are coming to abduct people. Further he is a bit of a stoner and is frequently out of it.

History: Paelias lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He was taken from his home at a very young age. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Quarion fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions.
