He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: He likes to fabricate stories about his past exploits and how crazy he is, but in actuality he is rather bland. Varis is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his sisters into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. When Varis reached his early adolescence his Elf mother passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Farmer they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Brewer, and he later adopted a second son.
