Personality: He is a Guard first and foremost. He believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. He is obsessed with finding treasure.

History: He is a Slaad in disguise. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Paelias grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Paelias. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: He dislikes all the random violence that takes place in the west. He is skeptical of what others tell him and is slow to trust.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. Ostracized due to the necromantic powers of his oldest brother, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Elves became a terror of the countryside. He was granted necromantic powers by his dying brother.

History: When he was but 7 years old his parents immigrated from the north. After coming to the age of reason, Hadarai took it upon himself to study the psionic arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.
