His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. Being a Mason kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

History: He was born in a small forest village. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Recently a tribe of gnolls attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Uthemar fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Personality: He considers himself a man of culture and sophistication. He likes a good challenge to his wits. His home and work are filled with various knick knacks he has acquired through the years. He cares a great deal for his adopted teenage son.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and an old rival family wants him found

Description: This late middle aged man prefers to wear flannel and is in decent physical shape. His brown hair is thinning but still full. He is missing an eye and his face is severely sunburned. His one remaining eye shines gray.

Personality: He cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with his opinion, he thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, he can get violently argumentative. He cannot resist a sob story and will often dote over anyone who has one.

History: The child of a Shipwright, who enjoyed hunting, Paelias was taken on many hunting expeditions. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. Lacking all sense, he decided to go on an adventure. He picked a direction and started trekking.
