History: The child of a Miller, who enjoyed hunting, Varis was taken on many hunting expeditions. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Varis grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Varis. He bought a rapier and has really upped his game hunting, due to his understanding of decoy and ambush.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs.

History: When he was but 8 years old his parents immigrated from the west. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Elves in Quarion's homeland. Quarion decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever.
