History: He was born in a small island village. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion; and marry his brother to traveling adventurers

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs; and wants to open a new tavern

History: A child with a great deal of painting talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. A few years later when the north was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He has never given up on his painting dream.
