History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the north. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a son. Some 3 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Varis never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his son whom he trained as his father had trained him before.

Description: A man with a calm yet intense air about him, he wears a black costume with the symbols of the four houses of cards on his torso. His chestnut hair is cut jaggedly and amateurishly. He wears an eyepatch.

Personality: He is extraordinarily eccentric. The war was a terrible time for him, and Azaki does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: The child of eastern immigrants he idolized his father. When Azaki reached his early adolescence his Elf father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: He is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally.

Description: This man stands a little under 4'10" and is a bit bulky. He is very muscular particularly in the legs. He wears a robe, a symbol of strength around his neck, and a shield on his belt. His long chestnut hair is drawn into a two foot long braid. He is missing an eye and his face is severely sunburned. His one remaining eye shines violet.

Personality: He is very quiet and rarely speaks above a whisper. He is obsessed with finding treasure.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Motivation: He desires power and/or immortality; and he wants to meet his childhood hero

Description: With black face paint in a stripe pattern across his face, he wears a weathered and beat up set of banded mail beneath an oversized yellow coat. His silver hair is styled in orderly dreadlocks. His ears are large.

Personality: He believes there is no problem he cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. He has a minor phobia of water and hates getting wet.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the south. In his 16th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Personality: He is mildly Elf supremacist, though he does not identify as such. He has the money to obtain near anything and knows that if you pay a man enough he will sell his own mother. Money is his most trusted friend.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. He moved out east to avoid the crime he committed. He used his abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.

Motivation: He feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help.
