During his travels, Naal and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Naal discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Naal fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing his own horrible transformation.

History: He was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family Dreali was a troubled youth. History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Rael grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Rael. He used his abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.
