History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. He worked as a nervous Carter and found it very stressful. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Korfel's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He also has developed a complete distrust of the Navigator profession.

History: He comes from a rich northern family. Korfel liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

He dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. His biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.
