History: Vanuath hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Elven companion (his 'brother'). After coming to the age of reason, Arannis took it upon himself to study the arcane arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: He will attempt to ambush and attack anyone he thinks he can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, he will try to sell them to his slave-trader contact; and he is a bit of a kleptomaniac
