History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when brigands swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He saw the violence of war and the aftermath so he converted to religion and dedicated himself to non-violence.

History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his mother. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift.
