Personality: He is highly sensitive about his name. He loathes it, but will not take any guff about it from anyone. He does not mind isolation but does not hate company and attempts to receive them as best as possible.

History: The child of western immigrants he idolized his mother. He was one of the best in his class, and was picked up by his current employer. He quickly showed his capability and was soon promoted to a head role. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: To be a Painter again; and balancing his hectic life and new detective responsibilities is difficult

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. Heian was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Heian decided he wanted neither the life of his father nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. He now mingles about in high society.

Personality: He barks his statements quickly and with little fuss. He prefers small words and is at his heart utilitarian. He moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep his interest for a month it is impressive.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his father and mother. His father taught him the rudiments of the Locksmith arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

His eyes are gray and he is always smoking a pipe.

Personality: While he acts the brute, he is far gentler than he would appear. He is obsessed with a lost civilization.

History: He was born in the north, but his parents moved at a very young age to the south. Through the years after Erdan was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Erdan's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. Recently a tribe of brigands attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Erdan fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: To reunite with his old friends; and he desires power and/or immortality
