History: Heian hails from a village terrorized by goblins. At a young age his father died while driving off some goblins. His mother being the stubborn sort decided to stay and helped train him in whip use. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: He misses his glory days as an athlete. He does not mind his job, but it is boring in comparison. More though he will beg to come along on any journeys. He will attempt to stowaway on any ship he can in the hopes that it will get him further away.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. He was taken from his home at a very young age. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: He cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with his opinion, he thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, he can get violently argumentative. He is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in his opinion.
