History: Born to a Doctor, his mother struggled to pay the bills. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Armorer hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by dire rats. Soveliss was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the dire rats.

History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his father. Rael was born on a far northern island where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Marshal. During his travels, Rael and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Rael discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Rael fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing his own horrible transformation.
