History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Gennal was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. After a long history of fighting, Gennal and his spouse have recently divorced.
